How can I grant Organization Admin permissions in Jira Cloud?

I'm logged in as a user with Organization Admin permissions in Jira Cloud. However, I am unable to add another user to the org-admins group under Roles or Groups. Could you please guide me on how to resolve this issue?

Hi @Vitalii Marchenko ,

One note is that, if you're original user management, to grant someone Org administrator you'll have to navigate to admin.atlassian.com > Settings > Administrators and add that user there.

 I think that Atlassian might actually limit the number. Is it a Free account? How many Org Admins do you already have?

Hello,
When I navigate to the Users section and click on the three dots next to a user, I do not see the option to assign them as an Organization Admin. I am performing this action while logged in as an existing Organization Admin. Could you please assist with this issue?

You must be an Org Admin in order to grant someone else to be an Org Admin. And that is doing by adding the user to the org-admins group.

You need to click into the user and open their details. Then you'll see the three dot menu in the top right of their details screen.

If you do indeed have Org Admin privileges, open the user's detail view in the Admin console, click the ... button you see near the top right corner and select Assign org admin role
