I'm trying to Grant "Browse users and groups" to a group or user via the System > Global Permissions dialogue in Jira Cloud. But even though I'm in the Admin - Group, I can only select "Public" as Group to grant that permission for.
Please advise what's wrong with our setup.
Hi @Marc Richter, and welcome to the Atlassian Community!
I was browsing the community a bit, and it seems other users also ran into this. It's a weird behavior. What helped the others was to add the public group to the permission, and then suddenly, all the other groups appeared and were selectable. Could you try that, please?
Best, Max
Hi @Max Foerster - K15t ,
yes, this did the trick! Strange - but with this workaround, I can add other groups to the global permission - thank you very much!
Best regards,
Marc

You're welcome. Let's be happy that there's a workaround! 😄

Did u try to enter an existing group name? Please could you check if you see some group within your instance?
