So... Interesting 'problem' 👀
I have a custom field configuration which we've modified a few weeks or so ago. And that was all on Sandbox.
Now, I need to 'replicate' that on production and, as we're doing this manually, is there a way to know which fields were modified and which are pulling config. from the global custom fields administration page?
We mostly modified descriptions of some fields, but there was no string convention used. As there are around 150+ custom fields, I really don't want to look at each item (if I don't need to) in the row and compare if everything is 'copied' properly.
Any native solutions (REST API included) are okay; we don't need Marketplace app for this, as only one field configuration was modified and we'll compare that manually if we have to.
Btw, this should be 'resolved' in the future as fields won't be automatically added to field config. as per the following announcement.
Hi Tomislav - you can do it manually or you can use a trial version of the Revyz Configuration Manager for Jira and know exactly what is different between the two versions.
Ah, that's what I was afraid of :/
But it's good to know we could use Revyz for this in the future.
Cheers @John Funk!

Copy-pasting info provided by Atlassian Support for future reference:
I understand that you need to replicate changes made to a custom field configuration from your sandbox environment to your production environment and want to identify which fields were modified. To track changes made to field configurations, you can use the Jira Audit Log feature.
However, it does not provide detailed information about the specific changes made to the field options, such as the name of the option added or changed.
Currently, changes available on the audit log will include the object modified, the change made, and the configuration name.
The second option would be
Manual Comparison:
If the above methods don't provide the necessary details, you may need to manually compare the field configurations between your sandbox and production environments. This involves checking each field's settings and options to ensure they match. I understand you are already performing it manually.
Unfortunately, there is no direct feature to list all changes made to field configurations in detail. If you have further questions or need additional assistance, feel free to reach out. We're here to help!
