How can I make Linked Issue required for a workflow transition?

I am configuring workflow to create a Bug issue and would like the standard field that links the Bug issue to a Story to be populated in order to create the Bug issue.  I have tried adding a Validator to the initial create transition but the Linked Issue field does not appear to be an option.

I do not know about a Linked Issue Field out of the box. I guess you use an add-on. What kind of add-on do you use for the field?

Let me clarify the use case... QA user is viewing the Story and needs to create a linked Bug issue.  Is there a way to enable creating the linked Bug issue directly from the Story screen with a single click?
