How can I make a field required during a workflow transition?

How can I make a field required during a workflow transition? I've seen this is pretty straightforward on Cloud but we are on Jira server currently.  I am open to purchasing an app to accomplish this.  I installed a trial of scriptrunner as this seemed to be a way to solve a couple of problems I'm working on but I am either doing something wrong or Scriptrunner alone doesn't allow for this implementation.  Within the Scriptrunner documentation, I see reference to Jira Suite Utilities.  I installed the free trial for that as well.  I still don't see the "Field Required Validator" in the Validators property of a transition as referenced in the answers provided on similar questions.  I'm not sure if something has changed since those previous answers as they are a couple of years old.  Thanks for any suggestions.

JSU, JWME and TBH I thought Scriptrunner would do this as well. Cloud has JSU built in and I use that all of the time.

Regarding JSU....

When you edit the workflow and click on the transition of interest you should see Validator along w/ Conditions, Post functions, etc. Open up Validator and add validator. You should see Field Requried as an option. In fact I was just on another thread earlier today where a server person was having an issue w/ this very validator so it certainly should be there is properly installed.

Thanks Jack.  Not sure why it's not working with JSU or Scriptrunner but the Field Required is definitely not there with either of those.  We are on a pretty old version of Jira so maybe that has something to do with it.  I installed JWME and that worked.  Hopefully it will help with my other requests too. Thx!
