How can I make a security scheme auto-copy over to a new project?

When I create a new project and check the box "Share settings with an existing project", the security scheme does not copy over. Why is that? Is there a way I can make a security scheme the default for new projects?

Hi @Trevor

It does work - this is for a Company-managed Project correct? I just tested it and it copied across for me.

Follow these steps to double-check your Projects:

  1. Go to the Project you intend to copy first
  2. Go to Project Settings > Summary
  3. Check there is an Issue Security Scheme applied, and it doesn't state None - this will be under the Permissions section, next to the Issues title
  4. Next, go to Projects > Create Project
  5. Choose a template, and select a Company-managed Project
  6. Give the Project a name and a key
  7. Check the Share settings with an existing project box
  8. Choose the Project you checked in (1), and create the Project
  9. Follow steps (1-3) to check if the new Project has the correct Issue Security Scheme

If this still doesn't work, could you provide a screenshot of the Summary page for...

  • Project to be copied
  • Project created

...so we can investigate further? :)

Weird. I just tried again without changing settings and it worked. I must have either forgot to check off the share settings box or my source project didn't have the security scheme applied... or something else funky. Oh well. Thanks for your help!
