Hello - looking to include the sprint number on our JIRA story cards as well as be able to assign sprint within the file details versus having to go to backlog view to assign. Can you please help with this? I'm a superuser.
Hi Maggie,
Welcome to the community!
Let's split your request in two parts:
Showing the Sprint on Cards
You can configure cards on a board to display up to three additional fields. The fields can be different for the Backlog and Active sprints if you are using a Scrum board.
To add fields to cards:
Access the project where you would like to make the change.
Go to your Scrum backlog, Active sprints, Kanban backlog (if enabled), or Kanban board.
Go to ••• > Board settings and click Card layout.
Add or delete fields as desired. In this case, you should add the "Sprint" field.
Now, the card layout of your tickets is going to display the sprint.
Having the sprint field in the detail view
To have the Sprint field in the detail view without needing to access the Backlog you just need to access the project's screen for that issue type and add the Sprint field to the screen.
Then, when opening the issue detail view, you will be able to see the Sprint field in the right hand column.
I strongly recommend checking the documentation below on how to do this:
Please let me know if it works.
Kind regards,
Carlos
Hi Carlos - thanks!
Following the instructions on the other article, for the sprint field in detail view I see the below with nowhere to click. Is it because something is standardized?
