How can i select the column in which points are deducted in scrum

Deleted user February 13, 2018

Hi,

can somebody help me. I want to reduct the points from the sprint at the moment the test is accepted and not when the issue is closed.

To explain a little bit more we have the statuses todo process testing accepted and released. When reflecting the issues i want to see the burn down burning the points at the moment when the issue is accepted. Since otherwise we only burn the points when the release is done, which means during the sprint the burn down does not move until you do a release. I thought about creating the board in a way that only the accept column is visible, but then you cannot directly close issues on the board which are not dependent on a release.

Is there maybe a solution that i can burn the points in an earlier row?

Thanks

It's the right-hand column.  That is not configurable.

For your case, your best option is probably two boards.  One scrum with Accepted as the last column and then a Kanban for moving from Accepted to Released.

Dear @[deleted],

short question for better understanding: ar both columns Accepted and Released final columns, or better are both statuses "Green". And does the issue get striked-through when moving in one of these columns?

Dear @[deleted],

so my advice: set the resolution in status Accepted. Then you burndown goes in this moment down. You can move the issues to 'Released' afterwards. This will not change the burndown anymore.

So setting the resolution burns down the points?

Btw. the status is the old resolved status simply renamed. So the status is green and gets striped through if you look at the backlog.

Dear @[deleted],

this is what I just checked in one of my experimental boards.

Exactly, Released is currently your final status.

The only thing that seems to work is if the status is indeed in the last column as @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-suggested. So i am going for the solution with the two boards for now
