How can you display a resolution drop down on issue that status is DONE

I am trying to configure the resolution of a DONE status with  a drop down resolution choices.  It currently is locked as a resolution of done that I configured in the workflow transition.  I want it open so a user can choose the resolution.  Example: Won't Do or Not a Bug or Cannot reproduce ect.

Normally the resolution field is only presented on a screen during a transition because if it's on the screen it is automatically required. The other option is having it set in a post function during a transition. If you want to change the value you need to pass the issue though a transition going back to the current status.

Thank you I am still trying to understand as the team has in the past been able to choose the resolution in the Done statis as a drop down.  I found this yesterday and am hoping it is what I am looking for haven't tested it yet tho.  https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloudkb/best-practices-on-using-the-resolution-field-968660796.html

If they used to be able to select then the workflow was modified.

It was something that was on a separate project at another company and I am trying to replicate it.
