I want to add a custom label field to my issues so I can filter the board based on these labels. I can enable the label field in the "List-view", however, the option does not show up in "Filters", and at the Custom Fields section it says:
Learn more about custom fields
How can I make it show up as a filter option?
You can only filter your list-view using the following custom-fields type
Single select
Multi-select
User picker (CMP)
People field (TMP)
Custom date

Thanks for the quick response. You mention that it's possible to filter based on Multi-select, and that's exactly what I'm trying to do, but so far no luck.
To give some additional context, initially I wanted my "Category" field to be multi-select, so multiple catagories could apply to an issue. Because I could only select one category per issue I looked into adding a custom "Label" field (as with these its possible to select multiple labels). However, I can't get it to show up in my (custom) filters.

I think the confusion here that you consider label custom field as multi-select field
and both are different , can you try to use a multi-select field not labels like in the image
