With the Archived Issues feature in Jira team-managed projects, I need some help understanding how it works. I followed the provided instructions, but when I navigate to an issue, I don’t see an 'Archive' option under 'More Options' within an issue. I am using a Scrum board and have also created an automation to move issues in a 'Done' status to another project board, but that has not worked either. Could someone provide some guidance, please? Below is a screenshot of the options I am seeing.
Hello @Jessica Rudas ,
Good day! :)
As @Izabela França mentioned, if you have Administrator access to the team managed project, you should be able to see the Archive option. However, since you are unable to see the archive option even after having Administrator access, could you try creating a new role and select 'archive issues' permission and then assign yourself this new role and see if that helps?
Thank you!
Hello,
Thank you for providing additional information. When I try to create a new role, I am not seeing the Archive any issue option. I scrolled through all of the options. Is there something else I should be looking at?

@Jessica Rudas , according to this Atlassian document, archiving issues is only available for Premium and Enterprise customers. Is your Jira instance in the Free or Standard plan?

Hello, @Jessica Rudas . Welcome to the community!
I suggest you check if you have permission to archive issues. You may need the administrator project role for team-managed project to archive them.
Here's an example of the actions available when I have the administrator project role:
And when I have the member project role, for example:
Let me know if it helps :)

@Izabela França thank you for your response!
I navigated to that specific project's settings and confirmed that I have Administrator access. Is that where I should be checking or is there another area I should be checking?
