My team has several "Completed" issues showing up in its Project queue. Is there a way to automatically archive "Completed" issues, or close out issues that have remained in the queue for a specific duration of time? Say 45 days?
I did find the following guidance on issue archiving, but it provides manual archiving guidance only: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver085/archiving-an-issue-981155336.html
Any guidance you can provide would be a great help. Thanks in advance!
Hello @April Morris
Welcome to the community.
What are you referencing specifically when you say "the Project queue"?
Can you provide a screen image of what you're viewing, and a screen image of an issue you would want to not see in the list (blacking out confidential info, of course)?
I also note that the doc you referenced is for Jira Server. That functionality is not available in Jira Cloud, which is the hosting type tag on your post. See
Hi Trudy,
Thank you for the speedy reply. Turns out we have an internal SIM process where changes of this kind are handled by Tech (lucky me!). Thanks again for your time and reply.

Welcome to the community.
There is not an "archive" issues function in Jira Cloud.
However, if you are talking about reducing the number of issues that display in the Done column of your agile boards, there are options. Please start a new post in the community for your question and provide more details about your environment (cloud vs. server) and the problem you are trying to solve.
