I used to have a comment section stright away in the issue view screen in the old intreface. Now it seems gone and I can't comment anymore on issues? Could anyone help?
In the new UI everything seems to be hidden and I can't get my head around it.

Ps. I just noticed that the old view is still there and I might just use it.

The old issue view might work temporary, but try this please.
Go to ... on the upper right corner of the issue. and click on it then select Configure. IT will take you to the Issue Layout and from there you can see the missing fields, add them, or configure the order of them. If you cannot solve the problem from there, let me know, and also attach a screenshot of you Issue view.

Check the permission scheme of the project and verify the permissions for Comments. It's weird because I've just started to use the new issue view, but the fields remained the same nothing disappear.

So the issue was that we did not have the permissions to comment set in Project Permissions. Our Admin has helped us and it worked!
