When I add a new email address in Manage Account under Profile, I get sent a confirmation email. However clicking on the link only open up a blank email addressed to the link. There appears no way to confirm the change, (JIRA Cloud)

What is happening, in this case, is correct, because this link will not be redirected to some other page to confirm the change, you must access the inbox of XXX@YYY.com manually to check the notification and confirm the change.
Please, check the notification email on XXX@YYY.com and let us know how it goes.

Thank you for the reply. So if I understand this correctly, if I check the Inbox of the XXX@YYY.com, and the email is correct, then the change is confirmed unless I click on the "If you didn't request change to your email link"
