I have project that has multiple boards (one for epics and one everything else) and I was trying to make it so you can switch between boards on the fly from the side panel. We have something similar enabled on the IT side but no one seems to know how it was setup and Wanted to see if someone can point me in the right direction for this. I have posted pictures below of what we have on another project that I am trying to figure out how to implement
Alright so after going back and forth with support the issue was caused because the project type was set to "business" and not set to "software". Atlassian says that project type must be software because kanban boards are only compatible with software projects.
Hi Orry,
I am not sure if it is the same with Server version or not, but in Cloud it depends on the project used in the Location field for the board.
so both boards would need to have the same project.

I took a look and all the boards are linked to the same project but I am still not seeing any way to get them grouped together for easy access on the side bar. The pictures I posted are from another project that has side bar grouping I am looking for and I have dug through the configuration of these boards and I am not seeing anything that stands out.

Can you share a screen shot of the board settings for one that is not showing up in the project? If you can use the General tab.
And have you done a re-index after you added the location?

So now can you share a screen shot of the Creative project like you have for the IT Team in the original description of the question above?

Very weird - there is no Location field for the board filters to associate it to the project.
Looks like time to submit a support ticket to Atlassian to me. Please post back here with the resolution.
