Hi,
I have a created a structure in XRay :-
Test Plan -> Test Set -> Tests
When I call the /export/test endpoint, all of the correct tests are exported and I am able to run the downloaded feature file. When I try and post the results of the test execution back to XRay using the import/execution/cucumber, the call is successful and I can see the Test Execution in XRay as expected. However, I was expecting to be able to look at the Test Plan in XRay and see the test execution that has just completed, but it's not listed under the Test Plan and I can't see any link between the data. I was expecting XRay to implicitly work out that the the test execution is linked to a Test Plan via the Test Set? The Test Set Id is on the downloaded feature file after /export/test. However, the Tests Execution doesn't even seem to link to the Test Set in XRay after execution?
If I repeat the process above and just pass an Xray Test Id as the starting point as opposed to a Test Plan Id, the results are as expected, the Test Execution is on the Xray Test.
If you have any suggestions how to create a link between Test Plans, Test Sets & Executions in the XRay Cloud REST API, please let me know, I'm new to the API so it may be that I've misunderstood something.
Hi @Justin Blandford ,
XRay has active support system where you can seek their advice and guidance. You can use https://jira.xpand-it.com/servicedesk/customer/portal/2/create/28 to raise any xray support ticket and get clarifications from the vendor.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Ravi Varma
@Ravi Varma thanks for the response, I've raised a support ticket but if anyone has any ideas, please post here.
