How do I reference a slack Users ID in a JIRA Automation rule with the ticket assignee's name?

I'm using an Automation rule to send out slack messages when the tickets are close to burst it's SLA and I want to mention the assignee from the ticket on the message.

Welcome to Atlassian Community!

In order to mention someone you need to know their username or ID in Slack. Have a look at this article describing how to get that added as properties so you can mention them, Mention someone directly in Slack via Jira Automation
