How do I set up Goals to be "high-level" or "squad-level" in my Plan?

I have set up Parent and Child goals in Atlassian, where the Parent and Objective and the Child goals are the Key Results. I have linked Initiatives to the Child goals (Key Results).

What I am trying to achieve in a Plan is a hierarchy of Parent Goal>Child Goal>Features (etc).

Can this be done?

Thanks!

Charlotte

Hi @Charlotte McPherson (US-ENG),

I don't think so. The hierarchy in a plan is based on issue types in Jira. Goals are not issue types - they are not even issues.

Jira Align offers similar functionality with its objective tree. It requires quite a bit of practice and setup to be in place, but the presence of goals is fairly recent in Jira. There is already a view of Jira issues in Atlas / Atlassian Home when you look at the details page of a goal. Just the hierarchy is not there yet.

You may want to share your feedback with the Atlas group in Community to get in touch with the team that's building these features.

Hope this helps!
