How do I setup an automation that checks weekly worklogs?

anastasia_burdiuzha September 12, 2022

Hello Atlassian Community!

I am trying to setup an automation, which once per week will check the work logs of our jira users, and if their work logs are less than 40 hours for the past week, a reminder will be sent in Slack for the particular user. During a week a user can work on more than one project.

Any help will be highly appreciated!

Thanks everyone!

Hello @anastasia_burdiuzha

Jira does not provide a solution for this natively. Jira provides very little in terms of search for and reporting on time tracking information for individual users.

There are several Marketplace apps that provide addition reporting options for time tracking. I have worked with only one, and it did not provide integration with the Automation feature.

Hi, @anastasia_burdiuzha !

We at the SaaSJet team had the same problem and our product manager wrote a use case

We use a Business Process Manager add-on to solve this problem.

1. Build a template

2. Set an approvals

3. Set a due date

But I suggest you to learn more in our use case
