I have a task with sub tasks. I want to pull the sub tasks through to an active sprint
Hello @Marcus A Nicholson
Are you working with a Classic project or a Next Gen project?
Typically, Sub-tasks do not get assigned to a sprint. Instead, the parent issue (story/task) is assigned to the sprint and that brings all the sub-tasks into the sprint.
I believe i have a next gen Scrum board. I was trying to make sub-tasks visible in both backlog and active sprint. I created a new filter to include sub-tasks, but still not visible?

Sub-tasks don't appear in the backlog.
The logic there is because they're simply noise in the backlog. You won't be ranking them or drawing them into a sprint directly, so there's little point in having them in there.
If you do want to see them in the backlog though, you can get them displayed - if you customise the backlog view, one of the fields you can add to the cards is "sub tasks", which at least shows you how many an issue has been broken down into, gives you a link to them and you can hover the cursor over the links to see their summaries.
