It is now tougher to find the latest comment due to being able to reply to specific ones.
I can't find any way to toggle this off in permissions.. only to stop all comments.
There must be a way to turn this off?
Thanks!
Hi @Josh Heller
I don't believe Jira offers that option, as threaded comments are applied universally across all instances.
You might consider upvoting this ticket: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-93678.
Thank you.
Thank you @Phong Hong Nguyen . I voted and am watching.
I guess in the meantime, we will instruct all of our users to not use the reply feature.

HI @Josh Heller - Please see this document. It seems like you are looking to turn off smart replies - Smart replies
Thanks,

Thanks Bharat. I did see this in my searching and will try tomorrow but didn't try before as I don't think I am looking to turn off "Smart Replies". I want to remove the "Reply" functionality as a whole.
If I hit that reply and my new comment goes under that one.. people may miss it as they are looking for the latest comment which used to be right at the top or bottom depending on how you set up your ui. Now new comments can be mixed in the middle.
So, thank you. I will try turning off smart replies tomorrow and see if it affects all replies.. but pretty sure smart replies are these:
