How import about 3000 Json files into Jira

padamitskiy August 29, 2022

Hi all. I need to import about 3000 Json files into Jira. How can this be done in one session? In order not to call the import wizard 3000 times.

Hi,

is it not possible to merge your files into a single master import file?

I can try to create 30 json files, and each of them has 100 releases. This will allow me to call the import wizard not 3000 times, but only 30 times. That would be great !

Is JSON a necessity?  If you can convert it to CSV (VSCode has an extension that makes this simple) then you can add a release column and then have just one file.

The Json format is an urgent need. Only he can fully represent the tree structure. CSV is not suitable for all cases. Let's better discuss 2 solutions with JSON : 1. Is it possible to combine multiple JSON files into 1 large JSON that can be imported into Jira? 2. Is it possible to import the entire list of 3000 files by pressing a few keys? The ability to view the detailed log should be.

I don't believe I'm the first to ask this question. Think well before answering. Atlassian's reputation shouldn't be affected.

Hi @padamitskiy ,

I'm not sure if you understand how the Community posts work, but as the name implies, this is a community of individuals trying to help each other.

It's unnecessary to warn people about thinking their responses through, unless you want people to think twice before offering you assistance.
