is there a maximum allowed number of filters per user?
Is it the same for Filters written in tempo timesheets?
After a certain number of written and saved filters, tempo gives us an error, something went wrong, and I'm not sure why it's happening.

There is no limit on Jira filters but high numbers are usually messy to manage and navigate.
Are you referring to saved reports with filters within Tempo?
"Something went wrong" message from Tempo usually refers to an unhandled data error. I would advise raising a ticket with Tempo support
