How should i take a metadata backup of a project

Hi Team 

I have been using jira software since few days, i need a clarification on how we can take a backup of metadata of a particular project in folder which includes all workflows,scripts,custom fields,schemes etc and push/commit that folder to bitbucket..

You will need an app such as as Configuration manager or project configurator - they can export the configurations to a file which you can download and keep in bitbucket.

Nic Brough -- thanks for your reply, as i am using "jira cloud" so project configurator will not support for cloud.
