One of the major disappointments we have with JIRA cloud is that it's horribly slow with many simple actions taking a few seconds to perform rather than be complete in under a second.
We suspect this has both to do with insufficient server power given to cloud users AND a bad system design which requires making tons of unneeded requests as things could have been cached.
So, how slow is Jira cloud for you? Do you think Atlassian will make the effort to provide a fast service?
Mind you we're a team working from various parts of the world and the biggest project we use on Jira has just over 2000 issues so surely not a HUGE system. We have very fast internet connection and most other services (which are not Atlassian, BitBucket cloud speed sux as well...) are working really fast.
Indeed it does. It's painful to use and wastes so much time.

Having a horrible time with this running a small team. Thinking about switching services, this is atrocious

I've been so frustrated with it lately. Using Jira cloud next gen and even dragging items up and down the backlog is so laggy.

I am not a big fan of Atlassian Cloud, however when the company I used to work for decided to go with Atlassian Cloud performance was never an issue. We had offices all over the world, and we all were using the same tools.
Since there isn't much you can do from your end, I will suggest you to click here and open a support ticket with Atlassian. I am confident they will fix your issue.

When was your experience from? Because this has been an ongoing issue since we started using the service a couple of years back

Trying to submit a support request isn't working either, repeatedly getting "Something went wrong, please try submitting your request again." which is oh so comfortable... I'll file a bug report and see

It could be that Atlassian is doing some maintenance as I am getting some weird behavior here on the community site and also "Problem loading the page" on the Atlassian Support page.
Just be patient and try in few hours again.

Perhaps they were better in 2015. In the last 18 months they are at different levels of slow. I'm saying this while ignoring the actual downtimes they have which last minutes to hours.

Can't open a support ticket. Still getting "Something went wrong, please try submitting your request again." So yes, back to normal, really horribly slow and no proper customer support... Disappointing

Let me ask an Atlassian Engineer to help here. We definitely hate to see unsatisfied users.

Hi Amir,
Sorry you're having trouble with the support contact form!
I've opened a ticket on your behalf about the issues you're seeing with pageload times in Jira Cloud. Be on the lookout for an email from our support system with more information.
I've also opened a separate internal investigation ticket around the issues you had with the contact form. We'll track down why it threw an error at you and get that patched up.
Cheers,
Daniel | Atlassian Support

Thank you @Daniel Eads and I hope that something would eventually be done about this. I've literally spent hours today trying to edit workflows as every change took 3-12 seconds to be responded to...
