How to Make custom filed mandatory in one project and optional in other project?

Hello Guys,

Let me explain scenario, here i am having two projects say A & B and the  for both projects all the issues, workflows & filed configuration scheme are same... Now i am having a custom filed which should be in mandatory for one project and optional for other project.

Can it be achieved by using any add-ons..

please  suggest me

It built in.  You just need different field configuration for each project. 

Required fields, at creation time are controlled by the field configuration scheme. That scheme is composed of one or more field configurations. Every issue type can have its own field configuration inside the field configuration scheme. If you have 5 issue types and 1 has special needs you create a field configuration for the 4 issue types and another for the 1 issue type. Then you combine them into a field configuration scheme and apply that to the project. When an issue is created, it looks for a field configuration for that issue type and uses it. Hello Pitt, Need some help on below issue...

I am using Jira 7.3.6 version, and i am new to jira. I am trying to do mail configuration for my jira with my gmail account for outgoing mail configuration.

Here i am getting an error (please refer below snap) and kindly help me for resolving

It looks OK to me. From the doc it some of the setting get defaults when you pick Google. Perhaps the username shouldn't include the '@gmail.com'

Hello Pitt

I got an error while starting jira (Error message: Unexpected exception during JIRA startup. This JIRA instance will not be able to recover. Please check the logs for details)

 

Even though i verified log files i didn't get understood any thing in that (attached log file for your reference)

Please help me in resolving this issue.
