Hi Team,
How to do a data correction on the backend and restrict all public comments to a particular internal group in Jira. We are using Jira server version.
Please assist me on this.
Thanks.
Hi @Raman !
Are we talking about Jira Service Management (Jira Service Desk)?
Can you add a bit more context of you case?
Yes. We are using Jira Service Desk where we have some customer projects. We have implemented Field security plugin and can apply Comments restriction only to Internal Users. However, we would like to apply the same restriction for all existing public comments in a customer project. So I am looking for a way to achieve this.
Thank you!!
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Hi @Alexander Bondarev ,
Sorry, we are using Jira server version 6.4. We would like to move all comments to a particular role visibility. Please advice me on this.
Thanks.

Hi @Raman !
Got you case, thanks for information.
Unfortunately out-of-box there is no way to configure default comment visibility to group.
There is a feature request JRASERVER-9091 suggesting the implementation of this ability, which is currently on "future consideration" phase.
