I have created a template for ticket creation with some pre-filled attributes but the reporter is not set anymore automatically to current user (as in standard creation) and is now needed to select the reporter. is it possible to add reporter to the template? I have tried with Reporter="currentuser()" but is not working.

You can add post function on workflow 'Create Issue' transition to add current user as reporter.
