I'm currently using Jira Automation add-on for create sub-tasks whenever I create a task. I was able to create an automation for this but for each sub-task I would like to add a checklist.
I downloaded an add-on that can add a checklist in a given issue, but I cannot find the fields in the sub-task configuration.
Or can I create a checklist inside the description of the subtask?
Hello @Allen Chun,
If you are using Smart Checklist for Jira add-on - then check out following instruction on how to add a checklist to the created item using Automation:

Hope this helps!
Cheers,
Pavel
Hi Pavel thanks for the response. On my automation rule. I auto-create sub-tasks whenever I create a Task issueType Permanent or Contract is there a way to add smart checklist with defined items for the sub-tasks created? Seems like I can only add the smart-checklist in the parent task based on https://railsware.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/CHK/pages/305528896/Automation+for+Jira#AutomationforJira-SetChecklistOnIssueCreation

Hello Allen,
I'm not sure if I properly understood your request, but if you are trying to add a Checklist template to your automatically created sub-task, you can use JIRA Automation itself to do it.
You just need to add to the description field (Or maybe other custom fields) the template of your checklist, using the same rule you have configured to create the sub-tasks.
Please, give us more details and the add-on you are using to add the checklists if this option does not work for you.
