Hi am using Jira with OpenLdap directory, and i want to add users from jira to openlap server.
when am trying to do, it shows me one error as below.,

The remote directory returned the following error when trying to create the user: com.atlassian.crowd.exception.InvalidUserException: [LDAP: error code 65 - no structural object class provided]; nested exception is javax.naming.directory.SchemaViolationException: [LDAP: error code 65 - no structural object class provided]; remaining name 'uid=jeev,ou=People,dc=myself,dc=com'

Is it possible to create user from jira to openldap?

@fayaz jiraThe opposite is the case,  when  you  create user's  in  LDAP then they appear in Jira, but  then  you  will  need to  do  the setting  correctly.

We enabled creation of users on email, so for this scenario we want the users which sent an email to jira(to create the ticket) will also be added to openldap, its adding fine into JIRA internal directory.

How can we achieve the same for openldap or any other directory.

The opposite case works fine for us. If I am syncing the users from openldap to JIRA, I should also have the ability to sync from JIRA to openldap.

Any tips or workarounds are much appreciated.

I feel that I am missing something in the schema mappings to be able to support this such as below.

objectClass: top
objectClass: person
objectClass: organizationalPerson
objectClass: inetOrgPerson

@fayaz jiraThis answer  is simple  if  you  will  want to  create user's from  JIRA directory  then  user's  must  be present in LDAP  other wise  there  be No syncro.

@fayaz jiraNo. JIRA has  it's own  directory.
