How to add thousand separator in number field Jira 7.3 version ?

Niveditha January 10, 2019

If we want to add thousand separator, where do we need to add the script. Changing the script will supported by the Atlassian? Will this effect all Jira number fields or that perticular number field? Please let us know, we will contact you again for further details.

Thank you!

Regards,

Niveditha

You don't do this with a script - check the general settings for the number formatting (and yes, that is a global setting for all fields)

Hi Nic,

Thanks for quick turn around!

I am not finding number formatting in General settings. I have checked advanced settings too. Can you guide me how to go there?

Regards,

Niveditha

I'm sorry, I got that totally wrong, I was thinking of dates.

Number fields do not have separators, they store the number.  The way they are displayed with separators is determined by your chosen language (as many have different separators).

So, as Jira already does this automatically for display, I think I need to ask why you are asking?  What are you trying to do here?
