Hello,

I have created a validator in a specific JIRA plugin to not allow subtask creation when "parent" task has some specific attribut.

It's work, no problem.

My question is about the functionality "convert a task in a subtask".

Where can I add my validator in the workflow (or other) to not allow the creation if my validator throw an exception ?

Thanks for your help.

Antoine

Convert to sub-task is not a workflow action, and there is nowhere to hang validation on.

Hi Nic,

can we add validation while 'moving' from one issue type to another issue type?

Best,

Suri

Same answer, as "convert to (sub)-task" is the same as a "move while changing issue type"
