How to auto-clone a task on a weekly or monthly basis and assign it to the To-Do list?

As the title says, I have weekly and monthly tasks. I'd like to, for example, have a number of tasks in my To-Do list or In Progress list every Monday, and on the 1st of each month.

Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.

This is not possible by default, but there is a very good plugin for this, called Automation for Jira: https://marketplace.atlassian.com/plugins/com.codebarrel.addons.automation/cloud/overview
