How to configure "Default assignee" to a particular user?

Currently only available options I can see are

Assign to Team Lead 
Assign to reporter 
Assign to Current User

Not covering my scenario where person to assign is neither TL not a reported and not even User but a TL of different department within the team

Hi @Fiaz Hassan,

From what you are describing, I derive you are trying to do this through a post function of a workflow. You can use the update issue field post function for what you are trying to do. Select the assignee field after selecting that post function. You should be able to select a specific user there.
