Hello, we have beeng trying to use a HTML link in order to create issues faster and easily using this Confluence post https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/creating-issues-via-direct-html-links-159474.html
We have a few problems. Firstly, we do not know how to check our project id. We tried with this https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/how-to-get-project-id-from-the-jira-user-interface-827341414.html, but it is an old article and we were not able to find it.
And secondly, we are having trouble specifying the issue type. In the first post we can find this:
We tried every id, but none of them worked.
I am afraid the post may be outdated. Does anyone know how to create this links propertly?
There are couple of ways to know the project ID. The solution from the KB might be outdated since there is not Edit button on the project admin page. However you can however over Details links and it would give you the ID (image below)
You can also go to Administration > Projects and then if you are and admin you should see Action column (on the right). Hover over "Edit" link on a specific project and you would also get the ID..
As for issue types I suggest pretty similar solution as above ..
Go to Administration > Issues > Issue Types (you should list all issue types in the instance) and simply hover over "Edit" or "Delete" links next to specific issue type.
