How to delete 'Affect version' and 'Resolution'

Igor Tumarkin June 17, 2019

Hello All,

In one project I try to delete in the Issue view 2 values 'Affect versions' and 'Resolution' but it is not possible.

Field configuration:
*The 'Affects versions' field is enabled by the 'Default Field Configuration' field configuration associated with this issue.
*The 'Resolution' field is enabled by the 'Default Field Configuration' field configuration associated with this issue.

But The 'Resolution or Affects versions' fields are not included in the 'my current Project: Scrum Bug Screen' screen. I see both of them anyway...

How to do this? If I am wrong, could you help me, please?

Regards,
Igor

The resolution field controls several built in filter including the 'assigned to me'. It is how JIRA determines the issue is complete. If you hide the field how will you set it?

Hello Joseph,

Thank you. Right now I use [Quick filters] > [My issues] to see what was assigned to me or check it in the right small pannel (short issue view). All things work as before.
But I am not sure, that I correctly understood your question...

Regards,
Igor

Hi Igor,

Affect version and Resolution are system fields.

They will appear during view issue even if they are not on the view screen.

You need to hide them on the field configuration.

You can copy the field configuration, hide the fields, and apply your new created field configuration to your project field configuration scheme.

Hope this could help,

Elvir
