I've added the Jira app in Slack and now I get too many notifications from the whole company's projects which is very distracting. How can I remove the notifications and/or remove the Jira app from my Slack, without removing it from the workspace of the whole company?
@Andreas Tsitouras Are you a Slack admin? If so, click on the dropdown arrow in the upper left corner of your Slack chat window, hover over 'Administration', and select 'Manage Apps'. A browser window will open. Select Jira alerts and you should be able to edit your configuration there.
@Jonny Adams Hello and thanks for your answer.
Unfortunately I'm not an admin and do not have this option.
Any other ideas?

You could mute the channel. Select the channel, click on Settings (gear) next to the search bar, choose notifications preferences..., and choose what you want to see.

@Jonny Adams Thanks again for your answer. Unfortunately this is not a channel, but rather an app and such an option is not available on settings.
I know this becomes a bit tiring, but if you have any other ideas, I'd highly appreciate it. :)

@Andreas Tsitouras, is this an Atlassian Marketplace app? If so, can you post a link to the marketplace app you are using?

Hi @Jonny Adams !
I'm just facing the same situation as Andreas...
I just got it from here:
https://slack.com/apps/A2RPP3NFR-jira-cloud
https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1216863/jira-cloud-for-slack-official?hosting=cloud&tab=overview
Is there any way to configure notifications for this app?

Hi @Vicente_Siufi , welcome to the Community!
The quickest way to configure Jira notifications is to type /jira manage in a channel and then click through to whichever Jira projects are configured to send notifications. The configurations listed by the app are clickable:
Depending on the Jira project's permissions, you may need to reach out to a Jira project administrator for help modifying the project's Slack notifications.
I'd also recommend checking out the documentation for the integration to learn more about the notification options. You can dial down the number of events that trigger notifications, and you can also change the display style of the notification.
Cheers,
Daniel

When viewing the Jira Cloud notifications, click the ellipses on one of the individual notifications and select Why am I seeing this? You are then given the option to Modify your notifications or Turn Off. I turned them off.
