Benny, do you want to do this in a list view or are you asking to add the custom field to the detailed view of issues?
list view - create a filter, e.g. project = myproject, then add the custom field as a column in the view. you can save for future use if desired.
show on all issues - go to the view issue screen for the project and add the custom field to the list of fields displayed.
or do you mean something else?
Hey Jack.
Thanks for the quick response.
I have the custom field itself displayed on all issues. I would like to show the values the users enters in the field to show on all the issues in the in the project.
For example. We are publishing a book and the book has an ISBN number. I would like to have the ISBN number to appear on all the issues after it has been entered the first time.
Example:
Task-100 - Typeset chapters 1 - 10
Task-200 - Typeset chapters 11 - 20

does my suggest of creating a filter meet your requirement?

Thanks for the replay Jack. Not really. I know each sub-task writes to its own record so I need the value to appear in a custom fields so that it can be save to the sub-task record.
