Hello folks
I'm pretty new to Jira and I spent a bunch of time researching this before asking here. My supervisor basically asked to "edit" the summary field so the field could show the first lines of the request and not just the request title. The idea is to go over all the pending tickets during our weekly call to have an idea about what is pending without opening ticket by ticket.
If I just add the field description, the view gets all messed up because 90% of the requests are sent via email and all of my users have a big email signature. So...no good...like this:
Any suggestions on how to format/edit the fields? Maybe set the description field as text only? is that possible?
Thanks a lot
Hi There,
There is another way you can quickly view all your tickets and edit on the fly. Unfortunately the shortcuts don't seem to work in the queue view.
1. Go to the issue navigator and enter the jql for that queue
2. You can use shortcuts such as "j" or "k" to go back and forward on the navigator
3. type "e" and it will open up the prompt for edit. Here can you quickly update the summary as description:

Hi Fabian, that is not exactly what he asked...I know a few other ways to view the tickets...I was just trying to change the summary into a multi line field...or even change the description field to look more friendly...but thanks anyway
