How to enable outgoing mail in jira?

Hi All,

Currently, it is showing disabled by startup flag , I am not sure how to enable this option in jira.I am using Jira sever and when i am trying to test connetion it is showing like - 

Unfortunately no connection was possible. Review the errors below and rectify:

  • SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out

 

How to fix this problem ?

Hello @Pankaj ,

I hope you are doing well!!

as per the screenshot someone from your team has added the below parameter in Supported Argument in setenv file. You need to remove that.

-Datlassian.mail.senddisabled=true

 Follow the steps if your Jira is installed on Linux.

  1. Stopped the service.
  2. From <jira-install>/bin, open setenv.sh.
  3. Find the section JVM_SUPPORT_RECOMMENDED_ARGS=
  4. Remove the -Datlassian.mail.senddisabled=true

Hello @Mayur Jadhav ,

I have searched many times , but I didn't get setenv.bat file in bin directory.

I am using jira through "atlas-run" in command line.

@Pankaj it will be there you need to find the out your Jira installation folder in order to open setenv.bat file.

 

  1. From <jira-install>/bin, open setenv.bat.
  2. Find the section set JVM_SUPPORT_RECOMMENDED_ARGS=
