Hello Team,
We are planning to upgrade our JIRA instance from 8.0,2 to 8.5.0. My question here is , the addon "JIRA Suite Utilities" (JSU) is incompatible to current JIRA vetsion (8.0.2), and we are continuing the work without upgrading this addon as it has paid update available. Can we proceed to next upgrade(8.5.0) without updating this addon and its involved in workflow post functions and conditions. could you please suggest how to handle incompatible addons while upgrading the JIRA.
Thanks!
Lakshmi
First disable the add-on before your upgrade.
Then send an email to the vendor requesting an update.
I just upgraded a customer Jira instance JSU was compatible.
I am looking at the marketplace, it is a compatible plugin:
Disable it once you upgrade, you will be fine. You will be able to update it as well if needed.
Let us know how it goes.
Best of luck!

Thank you for the quick response @Tinker Fadoua , but we don't want to take the paid update. We want to continue the upgrade without purchasing JSU addon. Is it work if we disable the addon before upgrade and enable it again after the upgrade without going for paid ? We want to keep the incompatible addon after the upgrade also. Please let me know your suggestions on this.

Version 1.5.4 is not compatible to JIRA 8.5.0
JSU 2.17.0 is the version you will need to upgrade to in order to use the plugin with JIRA 8.5.0
If you have a test instance I will suggest you to download 2.17.0 file, then upload it manually to your jira instance, then we can go from there.
Let me know your thoughts.
Best,
Fadoua
