I'm using JIRA 6.3.15. In Issue navigaotr I want to hide "assignee "field so user shouldn't search by typing anyone is assignee field.
If it is not possible I've another situation-
I've several project created in JIRA. I want to ensure that users having access to that project, there name only should appear while searching for issue in jira but not other users name.
HI @Neeta Dubey
Hiding the Assignee field may or may not be possible but it will impact all the users.
I want to ensure that users having access to that project, there name only should appear while searching for issue in jira but not other users name.
Could you please tell me how you know which user has access to which project?
How you are configuring the project permissions?
Thanks Yogesh for looking into my question.
I'm using project roles. Adding name on the user under roles tab and so project is visible only to those users and able to create/view tickets however if they go under issue navigator and in the assignee field type name of users who are not part of this project. Although they can't there ticket but able to see tickets assigned to them e.g summary line.

Okay, use issue security so that those users belong to that groups/roles or the part of that security level only can be able to see the project and tickets belongs to that project.

That is already in place. They cannot open tickets of other project. Only concern is under issue navigator how to hide name of users who are not part of that project.
