How to know the size of each plugin?

Anne Pan April 18, 2022

Hi all,

Is there any way to know the size of each plugin we used in Jira? I would like to have a list for managing plugins.

Thanks.

@Anne Pan Welcome to the Atlassian community

On server, you can see JAR file size by looking at it on the server:

  • Version 1 plugin, the JAR on your JIRA installation directory will be under:
    webapp/WEB-INF/lib/
  • Version 2 plugin, the JAR on your JIRA instance will be in the home directory under:
    <jira-home>/plugins/installed-plugins/

This really does not take into account any DB tables it is using or how it uses the index.  This will impact overall size. It would be better to see if the app has any performance tuning recommendations.  Apps that will have a resource impact on your instance will usually have information on what additional resources are required to run it.

Thanks for your reply.

Is it the same location for Data Center?

Can you also provide the path for Confluence and Bitbucket? Thanks a lot.

Confluence: confluence-install>/confluence/WEB-INF/atlassian-bundled-plugins

Bitbucket: in your home directory in the shared/plugins directory
