I have a project setting already done by someone else and somehow the project is showing the Resolution field as editable field. How can I change that so people don't make changes on Resolution field, and it can only be triggered by transitioning the issue in workflow?
Thank you in advance.
As well as @Utkarsh Agarwal 's answer which should solve the problem (you never put the resolution field on a create/edit screen, only transition screens for resolving/closing issues), I think you may have a second massive problem.
Your screenshot shows "unresolved" as the selected option. That is wrong, it should not be there. This suggests that an inexperienced admin has added "unresolved" to the list of possible resolutions.
Which is breaking your data now, because any issue with that selected in the resolution is resolved.
You should get your admins to rename it immediately, from unresolved to "do not use this resolution" while they work through fixing all your broken data before removing it from the list.
Thank you, I have tried removing the field from the screen and it worked.
and yes, I have noticed the "Unresolved" resolution was added in the option. I will take your advise and report to our admin. Thanks.

Hi @Nikki Kim ,
Did you try removing the resolution field from the view/edit issue screen?
