I want to add to my dashboard all the issues I have open, involving company manage projects. For some reason when I try to build a filter, they don't appear?
Why is that and how to change this?
It does not make any sense for me to not be able to filter through them.
This was something normal to do in the past, when there was no such distinction between projects.
If your goal is to be able to have a JQL function to query CMP vs TMP, you won't be able to do this natively.
If you were able to do this previously, it is likely because you had a marketplace app and perhaps that app has been deprecated or removed from your instance.
Here's a previous answer on it.
I used to do this previously, when there were no team managed projects the way they are being done now. So basically I would create filters and select only the projects that wanted present in that specific filter. Now when I try so, the only projects that appear are team managed projects.
It seems like such a simple thing to be done, it is hard to believe that this cannot be available.
And maybe if this is the reality, how come CMP are not meant to be filtered?

Hey Mark,
The CMPs reappeard in my filters!
I cannot really explain how.
My best guess is that these old projects (2017) were missing some updates in their DB fields, as they were created before this distincion from TMPs an CMPs.
I started going into the Jira pemissions and settings, updating some information and for some reason all the projects reappered normally again.
I guess it was probably something hard to even understand in my question because the behavior is not something natural to reproduce.
Anyways, if you have a guess of what I did, it would be great to know, cause I cannot really explain how they showed back up.
thanks for your time.

I think I'm understanding the issue better now. Since you were playing around with settings, the only thing that comes to my mind is that your projects have a shared permission scheme that had been modified. Specifically, the Browse Projects permission may have previously granted All Logged in Users or your account explicitly which was removed. Then while you were troubleshooting, you may have either added yourself to a group and or added back the browse permission.
...or it could've been a weird one-time gremlin, which is not out of the realm of possibility.
Ultimately, the only reason I can come up with on why you would no longer see your Company Managed Projects in the filter dropdown is if your account lost the Browse Projects permission for whatever reason. Team Managed projects have separate, project-specific permissions which would explain why they were unaffected.

Hello @Cirilo Alex Cavalli
Can you tell us the steps you are going through to create your filter, and show us screen images where you expect to find the filter but it is not appearing?

Hello Trudy,
As I was organizing the data to share with you, when I entered my filter screen, for some reason, now all the projects are available to filter.
What a strange thing, as of now I can filter all the projects, including CMPs and TMPs.
Anyways...still scratching my head here to figure out what was that. Hope it does not happen again.
