How to move JIRA software from Physical machine to Amazon cloud ?

We are planning to move our JIRA server software application to Amazon cloud space from physical desktop.

Please let us know the process, database movement  and licensing changes.

Hi,

Steps for migration.

Approach -1 

1. Take a full xml dump from your source JIRA 
2. Setup the JIRA in AWS  with DB(On AWS RDS or your new any other DB)
3. Import xml dump into AWS jira.
   
   

Approach -2

 1. you can setup JIRA on AWS and point that instance to existing DB

Once you setup the new JIRA instance into AWS, then new server id  will generate and you need new license.
