Hi @Teplyashin Max

That is not possible for the built-in Epic type in a team-managed project (TMP).  Here is the very old suggestion to add that feature: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRACLOUD-85704

I hypothesize that may not be implemented as the standard response to such TMP requests is "won't do...try switching to a company-managed project..."

Kind regards,
Bill

Thanks! That wasn't what we wanted, but that might work for a particular project.

Hey @Teplyashin Max welcome to Atlassian Community!

Similar to what @John Funk is saying - are you able to add Epics in the project, or have you not added the Epic issue type yet?

You can check this by going to the list view and seeing if you can add an Epic there. If you need to add the Epic issue type to your project and are unclear on how to do so, let us know and we can show you how.

Best,

Mike

Thanks and of course we have issue type for Epic. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to create them) My question was how we put Epic cards on the board as we don't see them and it is not connected to filters.

Hi Max - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!

If you create an issue type for Epic it should show on the board for a Team-managed project.

The real answer is to quit using Team-managed projects and switch to Company-managed projects.

Why do yoг stay on uusing Company-managed projects? It was easy to find how to resolve my current issue with Epics visibility there, however I am a single PM managing 6 projects in Jira, and the one that is company managed is a real pain as I can do so little things there without including our CTO in the process as he is the only Jira admin who has the necessary permissions. And he doesn't want to share them, though he is not that willing to make any improvements or fixing something like this also.

Team-managed projects are very limited in what they can do. And yes, you would need to be a Jira Admin to be able to properly manage Company-managed projects.

Does the Epic in your project have a different workflow than the other work item types?

Can you share some screen shots?
