How to rank issues on status change with the possibility to override ranking on Kanban/Scrum board

Hi

For a project on Kanban/Scrum, I would want to do the following 

- Create a ranking filter which would rank the issues on Kanban board in different columns.

- This ranking can be overridden by the user when he reorders an issue on the same columns

The first issue can be done by customizing the filter on the board. But that does not give an option to override when I am moving the board in the row, it realigns based on the filter criteria.

Do you mean that you want to rank issues on a custom field but when a user reoders an issue by mouse dragging in the board, the issue does not have to take into account the custom field but be ranked by another field? Or when a user reoders the issue, the custom field must change? It is not possible.

Thanks for the reply. My expectation is when a user reorders within the same column it gets adjusted to position he/she desire. This action is only desired when moving the items within the same column not otherwise.
