How to remove blocked status

I am a scrum master and do not have admin rights. The workflow  created for stories has a blocked status. 

When i create new stories, it automatically comes with blocked status and i am unable to remove the block status. Any suggestions as to what can i do to remove the blocked status

Hello @Smita Bhatnagar ,

It's simple just simply you need to remove the all tag from the blocked status. And after removing when you will create the new ticket it will automatically goes to backlog status.

You can suggest this to your Jira Admin.

You need to be a Jira admin, or a project admin under certain conditions. This other post has details and good advice:

Is there a Jira admin you can ask? If the workflow is shared by other projects it may not be possible to remove a status without impacting others.

Thanks for the response , so does this mean is there an issue with the workflow, as i am 1) unable to get anything in blocked status to be unblocked and 2) Have all new stories, using create option, being created with Blocked Status ?

Just to make sure I understand. 1) Do you want to move the ' blocked' status from the workflow? 2)Or do you want to move issues from the blocked status , but it doesn't work? If you want to remove the blocked status, can the administrator removed if from the workflow? Also, this workflow may be used by others, make sure the changes don't impact them :-)

Hi Carlos,

I do not wish to remove the "blocked status" from workflow, but wish to address these 2 issues

1) All the new stories created automatically are getting a blocked status - So something needs to be changed maybe at the workflow level.

2) All the stories which have been created and have got to Blocked status (due to the  above issue) . I wish to remove the Blocked status from these stories, whihc presently I am unable too.
