How to secure custom field? is any JIRA version can support this without add-on?

Hi Atlassian Support team,

I have a question regarding some JIRA functionality and was hoping you could help me.

Can we secure custom field by project role or any group user ? 

Do we have any JIRA version can support this or any add-on is recommend?

Jira does not have "field level security".

You can protect the editing of fields, by removing them from the "edit" screen and allowing edit in transitions (which you can put conditions on), but that's the only option for plain Jira.

If you have ScriptRunner for Jira Server/DC, you can do some protection with Behaviours.  But the only app I've seen that does comprehensive field security is the Quisapps one at https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/23216/field-security-plugin-for-jira?hosting=server&tab=overview
